DREAMERS.ID - Ajang yang paling dinantikan oleh insan musik dunia, Grammy Awards 2017 akhirnya sukses digelar pada Minggu (12/2) waktu setempat. Dalam ajang yang berlangsung di Staples Center, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, Adele menjadi musisi wanita yang paling bersinar malam itu. Pasalnya, ia berhasil meyabet lima penghargaan sekaligus!
Mengutip laman Aceshowbiz, pelantun ‘Hello’ ini bahkan sempat meneteskan air mata saat menerima penghargaan di atas panggung. Terlebih lagi, dalam pidato kemenangannya, wanita 28 tahun ini memuji habis Beyonce Knowles yang malam itu hanya mampu meraih dua penghargaan dari sembilan nominasi.
"Aku tidak mungkin menerima penghargaan ini," ujar Adele sambil menangis, "Aku dengan tulus berterima kasih. Artis dalam hidupku adalah Beyonce. Dan albumnya, Lemonade, sangat menginspirasiku, dan sangat membuatku sentimental. Seharusnya dia yang menerimanya,” ujarnya saat menerima penghargaan ‘Album of the Year’ dengan album '25'.
Adele berhasil menyisihkan pesaing lainnya dalam kategori tersebut seperti 'Lemonade' (Beyonce), 'Purpose' (Justin Bieber), 'Views' (Drake), dan 'A Sailor's Guide to Earth' (Sturgill Simpson).
